Westminster News
12 March 2017

Congratulations to congregational member Val McIntyre — winner of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, in recognition of her exceptional volunteer contributions to the community.  We benefit from many of Val’s volunteer hours here at Westminster … well done Val, and we are grateful to you!

Please mark Sunday March 26 on your calendars … as this will be the next of Westminster’s special 125th Anniversary Series in worship.  We will be welcoming Charles Huband (and friends) to speak about the Westminster Housing Society.

Children’s Table

All children are invited to gather at the Children’s Table following the anthem for a quiet activity to help them engage in and experience the gospel message while allowing them to move around and explore in ways that come naturally to them. During Lent, we do not say or sing the word ALLELUIA. This is because Lent is a quiet, thinking time. We use the season of Lent to get ready for Easter. This Sunday at the Children’s Table colour your very own ALLELUIA and place it into an envelope to be opened at Easter, when we celebrate that Jesus is alive and say and sing ALLELUIA once again! For more information about the Children’s Table contact Teri Skakum, Child and Family Coordinator, at teri@

Westminster Women

Mary Scott is preparing a document on ‘Westminster Women’ as part of Westminster 125th Anniversary Celebrations and will be making a presentation in the fall.  If you have information you would like to share on this topic, please talk to Mary directly or contact the Church Office at 204-784-1330 or at info@
