Westminster Church Walkathon

Big Steps for Little Kids

This week, please remember the congregation and staff of Windsor Park United Church in your thoughts and prayers.
The summer edition of These Days, Daily Devotions for Living by Faith, are now available for pick up from the Narthex or Hallway tables in either regular or large print.

Nathan’s Notes

I wish you a Merry Christmas! Christ is Risen, Happy Easter! Have a gusty Pentecost? This morning’s worship service marks the first Sunday of Pentecost, the longest season in the church. It ends on 1 December 2019, Advent 1. Why doesn’t such a long, important season in our church year have an official greeting? Perhaps it’s because our retail culture hasn’t found a way to market the season yet — perhaps it’s just because a season filled with Christ’s mission, and ultimately the church’s mission just isn’t as endearing as a jolly man with a white beard and a cute bunny that can lay an egg can be. Whatever the reason, I challenge you to wish somebody a Windy Pentecost. Or a Puffy Pentecost.

Children’s Table Update / Summer Break

May 26, 2019 was the last Children’s Table before this program takes a break for
June, July and August. The congregation offers a huge thank you to our Children’s Table Coordinator, Katelyn McIntyre, for her creative and caring ministry with the younger crowd on Sunday mornings throughout this year.
We look forward to Katelyn’s return to her position as Children’s Table Coordinator in

Rock Lake United Church Camp

We still have room in our camps for new campers, and we can still need some counsellors, chaplains and general volunteers! Register at www.rocklake.com.

The Manitoba Marathon happens next Sunday (June 16). Depending on your location along the route, your drive to church may be affected. Route maps are available on the narthex and hallway tables or online at manitobamarathon.mb.ca.

Don’t be late for church!
